The Australian Association of Consultant (AACP)

AACP offers registered pharmacists accreditation for the delivery of Medication Management Reviews (MMRs) to community-based individuals (including veterans) and residents of aged care facilities. The National Australian Pharmacy Students' Association (NAPSA)

The National Australian Pharmacy Students' Association (NAPSA) represents the interests of approximately 3500 members whom are undergraduate and postgraduate students studying at eighteen universities across Australia. NAPSA is run by students for students, and strives to provide many opportunities for its members. NAPSA also strives to be the voice of the pharmacy students of Australia in the pharmaceutical industry. As a NAPSA member there are a plethora of education, social and networking events for you to take advantage of, right at your fingertips. The Australian College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP)

ACNP is the national peak organisation for nurse practitioners, aiming to advance nursing practice and access to health care with a focus on support, leadership, awareness, promotion, and education.

Australian Journal of Pharmacy

First published in 1886, the Australian Journal of Pharmacy is synonymous with pharmacy in Australia. No other publication offers the same breadth and depth of coverage of issues that are directly relevant to pharmacists.

Published monthly, the AJP Online keeps you up-to-date with new ethical, OTC and complementary medicine products, the latest drug developments and improved treatment regimens on conditions relevant to pharmacists.

 

The Australian Medical Association (AMA)

AMA is the peak representative and advocacy body for all registered medical practitioners and medical students in Australia.

AMA membership ensures that your professional interests are effectively represented to governments, the broader profession, the public, and the media by the most influential, credible, and independent voice in the health sector at both the Federal and State levels.

AMA membership provides Federal and State/Territory political representation, political and professional lobbying, media commentary, public health advocacy, workplace representation and advice, industrial relations expertise, and craft group representation.

 

Australian General Practice Training (AGPT)

AGPT incorporates two Australian Government-funded general practice education and training programs, the Australian General Practice Training program, which provides vocational training for medical practitioners wishing to specialise in general practice and the Prevocational General Practice Placements program, which provides learning experiences for prevocational doctors.

 

General Practice Registrars Australia (GPRA)

GP registrars are medical graduates who are training to become GPs. They are represented by GPRA, the peak body for GP registrars, and which advocates on their behalf to a range of key stakeholders.

GPRA is a not-for-profit organisation, the main objectives of which are to improve the healthcare of all Australians through education; promoting general practice; advancing professional unity; and supporting registrars and their families during training.

It provides professional and educational resources for its members and represents them industrially by negotiating national minimum terms and conditions of work. It also provides a training ground for representation and leadership.

Registrar representatives on organisations such as the RACGP and ACRRM make up the GPRA Advisory Council.
