Minimum System Requirements

MIMS on PDA for Pocket PC can install and run on:

  • Windows Mobile 6.0-based Pocket PCs (a one-off separate download may be required). Pocket PCs are indicated by Windows Mobile 6.0 "Classic" or Windows Mobile 6.0 "Professional"
  • Windows Mobile 5.0-based Pocket PCs (a one-off separate download may be required)
  • Windows Mobile 2003-based Pocket PCs (including Second Edition), or
  • Pocket PC 2002-based devices

After installing, the device needs to have:
15MB of free Main Memory (more free memory will give better performance)

Recommended System Requirements

MIMS on PDA for Pocket PC works best when:

  • The program and data are installed in Main Memory The program can be installed to and run from a Storage Card. However, programs and data that are on a Storage Card need to be transferred to Main Memory before they can be used. This transfer is slow and inefficient.
  • There is plenty of Main Memory Do not buy a Pocket PC that does not have at least 60MB of Main Memory. Any less, and you are being short changed. Memory is not overly expensive. Memory from a Storage Card is not the same as Main Memory, and no amount of it will make up for lack of Main Memory.
